Day 1

Arrival in Petrozavodsk.

Transfer to the hotel.

Accommodation.

Early departure from Petrozavodsk.

Transfer to the town of Sortavala (by minibus, 250 km).

Breakfast or a snack en route.

Boarding a motor ship or a hydrofoil and the water trip to the Island

of Valaam (about 50 minutes by hydrofoil).

The excursion to the central part of the Valaam Monastery with the visit to the Transfiguration Cathedral, some churches and some other monastery buildings.

Lunch in the refectory.

Coming back to Sortavala.

Check-in at a hotel in Sortavala or at a countryside lodge near Sortavala.

Dinner.

The trip around the town of Sortavala with viewing the old architecture of this small town.

Day 2

Breakfast.

Transfer from Sortavala to the village of Kinerma.

Lunch.

The short walking tour around the village with the visit to the authentic chapel.

Transfer to the waterfall of Kivach. Hiking. Walking around the waterfall with the excursions.

Some snack (a packed meal).

Moving to the first Russian spa Martial Waters. The walking tour.

Coming back to Petrozavodsk.

Dinner.

The city tour.

A coffee break.

Transfer to the railway station.

Leaving Petrozavodsk.
