Day 1

Arrival in Petrozavodsk, the capital of Karelia.

Breakfast.

The trip to the Island of Kizhi by hydrofoil. The excursion around the Kizhi Architectural Ensemble and the historic village of the 19^th century. Free time on the Island.

Lunch (a packed meal).

Departure from the Island of Kizhi.

Return to Petrozavodsk.

The city tour by bus. The capital of Karelia - the city of Petrozavodsk - was founded in 1703 by the Emperor Peter the Great to provide support in his war against Sweden (1700-1721). Saint-Petersburg, the capital of Russia at that time, dates back to the same year. In spite of its three century history Petrozavodsk remains an eternally young and dynamically developing town.

Dinner in a cafe.

Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast.

Leaving Petrozavodsk for Kem by bus.

Lunch (a packed meal).

On the way to Kem visiting the ancient rock drawings – «petrogliphy», on the bank of the Vyg river.

Accommodation in the hotel.

Dinner.

Day 3

Breakfast.

Leaving Kem for the Islands of Solovky by hydrofoil.

Accommodation in a hotel.

The excursion around the central architectural complex, the Solovetsky monastery, the Transfiguration cathedral, household buildings, a refectory, turrets, the exhibition “The History of the Solovky camp”.

Lunch in a cafe.

Free time.

Dinner.

Day 4

Breakfast.

Check out.

The boat tour to the Island of Zayatsky known for its ancient sanctuaries.

Lunch.

Leaving Solovky for Kem.

Dinner.

Transfer to the railway station.

Departure by train.
