Departure to Petrozavodsk.

|
Arrival in Petrozavodsk – the capital of Karelia.
Breakfast.
The trip to the Island of Kizhi by hydrofoil. The excursion around the Kizhi Architectural Ensemble and a 19th century village.
Free time on the island.
Return to Petrozavodsk.
Lunch.
The city tour.
Leaving for the town of Sortavala.
Arrival in the town. Accommodaton in the hotel.
Dinner.

Breakfast.
The fast boat trip along Ladoga Lake to the Island of Valaam.
Visiting the Transfiguration monastery, the Father Superior cemetery, transfer by boat to the Voskresensky and Gefsimansky small and secluded monasteries.
Lunch in a refectory.
Coming back to Sortavala.
The city tour.
Visiting the museum of the famous artist and wood carver Kronid Gogolev.
Dinner.

Leaving Sortavala for Petrozavodsk by bus.
Visiting the Karelian village of Kinerma on the way to Petrozavodsk.
The tour around the village.
Lunch (Karelian cuisine).
Arrival in Petrozavodsk.
Accommodation in the hotel.
Dinner.

Breakfast.
Leaving Petrozavodsk for the town of Kem by bus.
On the way to Kem visiting the town of Belomorsk. The bus and walking trip to the bank of the Vyg river to see the ancient rock drawings.
Lunch in a café.
Leaving Belomorsk for Kem.
Accommodation in the hotel in Kem.
Dinner.

Breakfast.
The boat trip to the Islands of Solovky. Accommodation in the hotel.
The excursion around the central architectural complex, the Solovetsky monastery, the Transfiguration cathedral, household buildings, a refectory, turrets, the exhibition “The History of the Solovky Camp of Special Significance”.
Lunch.
The bus trip to Secir mountain with the visit to the Voznesensky small monastery, the church of St.George, the cross of worship, and the panorama of the Solovky Islands.
Dinner.
