“Koti” is a well-know Karelian word. Koti is a house. In the northern Karelia and Finland the people say this word meaning the hearth and the home. In the southern Karelia the people say Коdi.

The ethno theatre performance “House” is the story about the customs and the traditions of the people who are firmly linked with nature, who see the sacred meaning in simple things, who have a sincere desire to investigate their roots through the prism of time. The parable and poetic language is supported by alive music that accompanies the performance from the beginning to the end. The musicians are the equal participants of the action, its collaborators who deeply understand the folklore.
